Sites – Sable rocks

This walk is a very easy 20 minute stroll, passing some beautiful rocky outcrops until you reach the Sable rocks which are quite spectacular. Keep a look out for the Spotted Eagle Owl, which nest here and the Rock Hyrax who have made this their home. The herd of Sable frequent this area and are regularly seen.

1. This walk starts at the entrance to the campsite, then turn right.
2. Follow the road till you reach the service road and turn left up the hill.
3. Turn right at the next sign and follow the track through the bush.
4. At the game fence, turn left till you reach Sable Rocks.
5. You can either retrace your tracks back to camp or continue up the fence till you reach the entrance gate and retum via the serivice road.
