Walking Trail
Brown Hyena Trail
Length – 7.6km
Sites – Rock Waterhole, Kibu Hide, Leopard Rocks, Ndege Hide, Eland Pan and the Old Airstrip
This is a lovely walk of about two hours to which an extra loop can be added by walking the end of the Giraffe trail. Brown Hyena spoor is frequently seen on the road between the rock waterhole and the hide.
- Start at the entrance to the campsite
- At junction turn right up the hill
- Next road left
- At the cut line turn left
- Turn right at the second road and join the Giraffe trail past the rock waterhole
- At the T junction turn right
- At the second road turn left down the hill
- Pass old Borehole and keep straight to third junction and turn right
- At game fence turn left
- Next junction left again and keep straight
- T junction turn left up the hill toward the hide
- Keep straight up the hill
- At the cut line you can either turn left up the hill and follow the Giraffe trail home or do the extra loop on the Giraffe trail.
